With sunny beaches and holiday season in high swing, Barcelona welcomes back 2 of its most emblematic summer events, Circuit Festival and Girlie Circuit, which this year are celebrating their 10th anniversaries! Being proclaimed as the biggest international gay and lesbian festival and both produced by Barcelona's Matinee Group, they have thousands of visitors from across the world coming to Barcelona for 2 weeks.
Circuit 2017 will be held from August 5 to August 20, full of fun with a programme that includes pool parties, as the biggest and most popular event of the festival, the Water Park Day (which lasts all day and goes on into the night) at the nearby La Isla Fantasia water park, DJ sessions (with performances by some of the biggest names on the gay scene) and club nights, while Girlie Circuit follows a similar pattern albeit for fewer days, from August 15 to August 20. Doubtless with a decade of good times to celebrate, this year will see some extra special guests and even more partying than usual!
In 2008, Matinée Group created a concept that changed the scene forever. For the first time in history, the best parties, promoters and international artists gathered in Barcelona to celebrate a week of clubbing and holidays that turned the city into what we know it for today: the International Gay capital of Europe! It was the beginning of Circuit Festival.
Circuit Festival means discovering the best music, meeting with friends from all over the world and making new ones, celebrating cultural and affective diversity, discovering a city that has an endless leisure and cultural offer, visiting beautiful beaches and incredible places... 10 years of music, memories and exciting stories.
