From November 23 to 26, Madrid once again hosts a new edition of Madrid Horse Week, the leading luxury equestrian event held in Spain, which seeks to bring the general public closer to the horse world. The 5th edition of Madrid Horse Week will be even more multidisciplinary, whereby the programme includes a Cowboy Dressage competition in an unprecedented league format! Also there will be introduced a new discipline in conjunction with the Madrid Doma Vaquera Club, an unprecedented league called the “Maestros de la Vaquera CUp”. This new competition will consist of 8 scoring events in a preliminary phase, which will take place from May to October at various locations in Spain: Jerez, Portaje King’s Cup, Arroyo la Luz, Mairena del Aljarafe, Andévalo, Miraflores de la Sierra, Cordoba Vaqueros School and the Carmona Spanish Championship.
Madrid Horse Week will host the Grand Final of the Cowboy Masters Cup in a 2-day event. The World Vaulting Cup will be held in addition to a CDI5* Dressage International Grand Prix and a CSI2* Jumping Grand Prix. There will be a total of 9 competition sessions, with over 20 daytime and evening events and exhibitions in the central arena. The last edition introduced the innovative Jumping Clash Challenge, a new equestrian model of competition that seeks to transform the show jumping discipline and the way it is seen by the general public via live television.
The Horse Fair has a programme with numerous recreational and educational activities, such as western dressage, vaulting demonstrations, natural horsemanship and sessions on horse health and care. The offer is rounded off with a Commercial Village with over 90 stands displaying fashion goods, equestrian articles, vets, equine transportation, catering, food and decoration, in which nationals and international brands will reveal their latest developments, as well as a gastronomy corner with a varied culinary offer. Children’s activities include giving small children the opportunity to embrace their first experience with the horse world in the Pony Park, with integrative actions through adapted horse-riding.
