This Sunday, March 8, International Women's Day 2020 is celebrated and various demonstrations will be held in Barcelona. This is a very important date for women, who on this day defend their rights, while paying tribute to those who began fighting for liberation and equal rights and pay. This day is commemorated by the United Nations and over time it has become a National Holiday in many countries. The idea is to unite and vindicate the struggle and achievements that women have acquired with much effort for over 100 years. The National Museum of Art of Catalonia has prepared a series of activities until May 15 with the exhibition "Montserrat Negre: a pioneer in paper restoration". You can also attend a session "Little stories, great women", the animated film "Persepolis" will be screened and on March 8 all women have free admission to the museum!
